When we contacted Steel about updating our classroom computers at their school, we learned that they needed some help in their computer lab. The first two rows of Macs needed to be hardwired. SDP had been asked but as the beginning of the school year is crunchtime, no guarantees were made as to when they’d be able to do the work.
Later that day, PCF purchased some cable ‘channels’ (to run wires on the floor) and came back the next day with extension cords, network switches, and a box of ethernet cables of varying lengths.
We spent a couple of hours to get everything up and running as Steel’s computer teacher Ms. Pitts was conducting classes. Thanks to PCF and our donors, Steel is able to utilize their lab using much faster and reliable (hardwired) Internet connections.
