For the last couple of years, PCF worked with Emlen Elementary during their talent shows, theater plays and other shows. PCF supported their music teacher Ms. Parker during their rehearsals and shows to purchase various microphones, mix the audio during the events, and even re-mix the music to give back to the kids.
This year we are taking a large storage closet and turning it into a small sound studio where PCF will be working with Ms. Parker and students to learn how to mix music, add vocal tracks to music and keyboards, create podcasts, and so on.
For less than $2,000, we are able to create a sound studio for teachers to be able to mix tracks with student vocals, musical instruments, music tracks, etc. This typically includes the following equipment:
- A computer to run a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation)
- USB audio interface or Mixer (a piece of hardware that connects the computer to instruments, microphones, and the speakers).
- Speakers (2)
- Headphones (2)
- Microphones (2)
- Sound proofing
- Cabling, mic stands, miscellaneous.
