PCF was invited to attend the District’s Partnerships Resource Fair during school break. Since we had not advertised our renewed focus on supporting schools, we did not expect the huge interest in our Programs.

In the span of two hours, 33 schools filled out an application to receive support for classroom computers, library support, and technology teaching. View the full list of schools and a map here.

The Fair was held during lunch on the final day of a week of Principal orientation/training at Fels High School in the North East. There were a few dozen vendors set up around the room and Principals were given a 1-pager on the various programs in advance. Clearly our classroom computers his on a pressing need out there as it seemed our table was a lot busier than many of the others.

All in all a great day. A bit disturbed about the pressing need out there but we realize we’re on the right track with our new school support focus. With about 2,000 computers in inventory, we are now in dire need of funding to refurbish them and to get them into the rooms at the various schools that applied.

We need your help!

Did you know that computers are as little as $50? Or a Home & School Association mini lab a few hundred? Or sponsoring an entire school costs as little as $5,000 (depending on the size of the school). Please review our Donations page to review some of the funding options and consider making a donation today!

Our Table Display Says it All

Below is a picture of the table display we used for the event. It basically tells our entire story and drew huge interest from at least 33 schools. Click to enlarge.
